Some intersections have cross walks, some don't. Either way, it doesn't seem to matter. So, it looks like pedestrians don't have the right of way. (Are you kidding me? My absent minded children almost get hit in the Target parking lot at home.) M tells me you just have to walk confidently out in the intersection (with lots of cars) and keep walking. He says they won't hit you. So basically, we are supposed to ignore all the things I have been teaching my kids about not walking in front of a moving car. You know, things like that! At one point a cab drove up on the sidewalk where people (ok, us) were walking. I practically screamed out loud (such a cool traveler I am). M is looking at me like I am crazy. It is almost like he doesn't see the cab "walking" behind us. The cab wasn't going fast by any means, but he was up on the sidewalk driving right behind us. I guess he was parking!
I am stuck in a real life version of Frogger! Hop, hop, hop and hopefully no squash! Stay tuned for more.
During this part of our trip, I will be adding posts from my phone so some of the formatting will be different (a.k.a. weird) so now you will now why. I just want to be able to post while we are on this leg of our trip.
