M and the girls before our wealth walk.
The people in the far back, to M's right shoulder, are at the fountain.
I know great picture, given it is blurry. Oh well, iPhone.
It has a little pathway and only a few could go to the fountain at once.
The custom is to walk around this pretty fountain three times with your right hand in the water the whole time. While you are doing this you think about a wish you want to come true. You let your wet hand air dry (and I guess your wet shoes, shirts, face, and arms etc. Apparently we must not be very good at this.) to solidify the wish. I am not really a horoscope / mystic believing kinda gal but these customs have been around for centuries (or this one, for at least as long as this mall has been open). That's right, the Fountain of Wealth is located at a mall. Maybe the mall was built around it? Who knows? But on the other hand, it seems crazy not to give the fountain a try so we do. Why tempt fate?
So let the wealth begin!

what did you wish for? I KNOW! You wished for J to finally be in a picture. You know, you might be at home and they are sending you these pictures to post. Are you really there?
Okay - I am sooo living vicariously thorugh your Singapore Summer! I LOVE all the updates and usually save them for the end of the day so I can relax and really enjoy them. You should be a writer! I get my ab workout through reading your posts these days! Truly - save them all and get published - I won't even attempt a title as your wit far surpasses mine!
