We went to this fun climbing area in the Kid's Corner of our complex. While the girls were climbing around there, I looked up and saw, in the middle of the white clouds and sun, a rainbow. Crazy since it wasn't raining or even cloudy. I just had my phone so I snapped this picture. I'm not sure how well it will turn out. I could see the top part of a rainbow. Pretty amazing! I think I am still seeing spots from looking up into the sun.
Ok, so we haven't talked about swimsuits yet . . . you ladies will appreciate this! I noticed both times we were at the beach that none of the local women were in swimsuits. Even the kids weren't in swimsuits. We were one of the only ones. So me in my modest Land's End suit, who knew I would look exposed. It is all relative my dear! The locals swim in shorts and shirts, sometimes even cropped pants!
So on the other end of the spectrum, at our apartment complex everyone is in swimsuits and most of the women are in smaller bikinis. The complex we live in is mostly expatriates from around the world so they are not from Singapore. So I go from being risque on the beach to being incredibly modest at our complex, all while wearing the same suit, in the same city. Pretty funny!
BTW, in case you haven't realized, I am no literary queen so please bear with all my grammatical and spelling errors and love me the same! I want to capture what we are learning about Singapore and share with you. I realized how many good writers we have in our circle.
