Yesterday morning we head to Mass at St. B again. Always easier to do things a second time, right? Easier than the first time, right? Well . . . not always. What we failed to tell you was last week, during Communion we had no clear idea as to how we were supposed to get to Communion. We sat in the balcony both times, up with the choir. It is a smaller area and we can see the altar easily. The church is large, lots of people, and there are places to get communion everywhere so you wouldn't think it would be difficult. Except it is like being in the middle of a Country & Western line dance and you don't know the steps. Everyone else does. Is it by long rows? Is it by section? Not everyone goes up to Communion so you can't follow the people right along side you. Our family takes up a whole row so it is hard to know. Oh no!
So last week, I am sitting at the end of our row so I am supposed to know where to go . . . well that didn't work out too well. Yesterday, M is at the end of the row and we shuffle around, cut in front of people (not on purpose) and our family is split up by the time we get to communion. Seriously, how hard can this be? All along we are trying (not successfully) to be quiet and not trip over each other's feet. They don't offer the Blood of Christ at Mass so at least we don't have to get lost in that line also! Shout out to Father B and all the Ann . . . parish! We are trying!
